  8. Network Play¬†
  9.
  10. To play Weekend Warrior with other
  11. players you must be on an AppleTalk
  12. network (preferably on an Ethernet-based
  13. network).
  14.
  15. Up to 4 players can play simultaneously
  16. in a single network game. Each network
  17. game is limited to 8 minutes.
  18.
  19. To begin network play, all players should
  20. select the "two computers" option (pictured
  21. right).
  22.
  23. Bowling for Dollars!
  24.
  25. The goal in network play is to collect prizes for cash. The more prizes you collect, the more money you'll win. To collect prizes, you'll can either knock down a player with a prize or find them lying around in the arena . Keep in mind though that cash is only awarded for prizes in the player's "bin". Removing a prize from the other player's "bin" will subtract their money.
  26.
  27. You can also earn cash by hitting a player ($40) or by knocking them down ($250).
  28.
  29. The Prizes
  30.
  31. Blender = $50
  32. Phone = $200
  33. TV = $600
  34. Bicycle = $800
  35. Luggage = $1500
  36. Ring = $2000

  38. ¬†                                                                        Hosting a Network Game
  39.
  40.                                                         In the next screen one person will need to
  41.                                                                           host a network game (five arrows
  42.                                                                           pointing to a computer) while the other
  43.                                                                           players will need to join in.
  44.
  45.                                                                                                                                                     In the dialog below, the host has created
  46.                                                                                                                                                   a game called 'WeekendWarrior'. If you
  47.                                                                           want to assign a password to a game, you
  48.                                                                           can enter a password. But keep in mind
  49.                                                                           that your network buddies will need to
  50.                                                                           know the password in order to enter your
  51.                                                                           game.

  78. Joining a Network Game
  79.
  80. Once the host has created a game,
  81. the other network players can
  82. join into a game.
  83.
  84. In the example on the right, the
  85. host has created a network game
  86. called 'Doug's Game'.

  93. TCP/IP Net Games
  94.
  95. While TCP/IP games are possible to play with Weekend Warrior, this option has not been tested. If you have problems with this protocol, switch to AppleTalk for your network games. Also remember that latency issues may affect the performance of any Weekend Warrior TCP/IP net game.
